About Polyhotel

In my 8 years of game development I’ve always had the idea of making a virtual social space inspired by Habbo Hotel but always got stuck at the security part - how do I prevent players from duplicating coins and items? Six months ago I realised that blockchain is the missing piece and started working on a blockchain based hotel game.

I released Polyhotel on 21st of March 2023. You could buy $POLY, furniture and rooms. The project looked promising but it quickly ran into issues. The trading volume went down to zero and even worse both the token and the NFT contract had irreversible issues to continue:

• The tax system did not scale with the increasing price resulting in rising slippage

• The contract had a bug which made 0% taxes impossible

• The NFT contracts did not have all the necessary functions

Have been invested months and thousands into it, I made a greedy call to sell my tokens. There was ~$20,000 in liquidity but I chose NOT to withdraw it. As of today its liquidity is back to the starting balance meaning most of the tokens were in fact sold back on QuickSwap. The liquidity was never removed.

Yesterday, 5th of June 2023, I released the improved, fixed and final version: Blockhotel. All of the contracts are fixed, the game has since improved and it is now on Binance Smart Chain which offers a massive volume potential with next to no transaction fees which is required for blockchain gaming.

Moving forward, these actions will be taken to compensate Polyhotel holders and regain trust:

• The $BLOCK contract will be renounced

• Polyhotel NFT holders will be airdropped Blockhotel counterparts for free
